Chris started off racing go-karts in 1999. After some success in karts he had a test drive, at the age of 16, in a dirft modified, co owned by his father and uncle, at Victoria's Bacchus March track. After putting in some impressive lap times he was hooked on speedway.  Soon the karts were on the market and the first compact was on its way.

After a big 2007/2008 season, that saw Chris finish 2nd in the B grade Club Points score and 3rd in the overall Club Championship, Chris is looking towards a bigger and better season this year.

The season 2008-2009 sees a new colour scheme with the Clarke car now bearing the yellow and blue colours, and Guy Cartwright from GCRT coming onboard as our major sponsor.
